Project 2 Interim Presentation
MY IDEA - THE PUDDLE
My initial idea is a puddle where I can handle some rain on it. I like raindrop sound when they hit the water surface. I also like the way the raindrop gradually disappear on the water surface, soft and easy.
I look up on the internet for the sound of raindrop, it might be "pitter-patter".
Development
I like to make some more effects into my "picture", such as a footstep. Opposite the soft sound of raindrop, the footstep water splash sounds heavy. In my opinion, the footprints in rain refer to some kind of sad scene in romantic movies. Maybe, the footstep sounds heavy and kind of sad.
I am going to make three kinds of sounds : raindrop, footstep splash, and the echo.
Firstly, I will make a raining scene where the rain is dropping randomly and softly. With the mouse, we can create more raindrop or some footsteps.
Extra effect :
- Press "P" to stop the rain
 - It will be kind of fake if I make only one footprint shape all over again, I will distinguish the left and the right for more realistic.

The graphic with the codes will be a real challenge for me. I need to research on how to make a raindrop gradually disappear (mb opacity), and the footstep splash.
Also, I need to learn how to make the raindrop bounce back when it hit the border.

Reflection from the first project
I am very new to the processing, and even to "coding". I felt kind of interesting when I learnt some lines, triangle, ellipse functions... very basic shapes. I did think that I never can make pictures from codes.
In my opinion, even the word "project" is new to me as well. Now I now how I can start from the very first of a project and then present to the "client" and then develop till the final.

Patterns by Patter Maker
My first most interesting pattern
http://www.openprocessing.org/visuals/?visualID=22510
The Processing is very new to me. I tried bit by bit to get adapted into it. My first pattern is made by some simple line, and I tried to make it as the way I liked.
Second
http://www.openprocessing.org/visuals/?visualID=22511
I tried some ellipse and colours here which providing more visual beauty. I like to make some pattern that make my eyes work many way to see it.
Third
http://www.openprocessing.org/visuals/?visualID=22853
I had some experiments with arc function. Put some more colours. I like it!!

I did use Photoshop to create some patterns, look and feel it. Then I tried the opacity function in fill, stroke. I love how the curves are blended. Soft and eyecatching!
